- Richard W. Freeman, 80, of Hilton Head Island died April 21 at his residence. He was a native of Grand Forks, N.D. and the son of the late Charles A. and Elizabeth Garvey Freeman. Mr. Freeman is survived by his wife, Helen White Freeman; three sons, Richard W. Freeman, Jr. of Chicago, James G. Freeman of Edina, Minn. and Charles F. Patterson of Brookhaven, Pa.; four daughters, Mary F. Dickey of Louisville, Colo., Alice F. Freeman of Miami, Fla., Margaret F. Freeman of Wilmette and Martha F. Bartz of Miami, Fla., and 10 grandchildren.
