- Clifford C. Whiting, 85, died Feb. 23 at Whitehall North Nursing Home in Deerfield. Born in Wrenthen, Mass., he had lived at 2322 Bryant Av. in Evanston from 1925 to 1974; he then moved into The Georgian Retirement Home in Evanston, where he lived until January. Mr. Whiting was the widower of the late Florence L., who died Oct. 3, 1977. He is survived by a son, Robert C. of Wilmette, a vice president of the First National Bank of Evanston; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Private services were conducted Feb. 25 in Memorial Park Mausoleum by the Rev. Dr. Melvin A. Pearce of Northminster Presbyterian Church.
