- Dorothy C. Whiting died September 2. She was 88. A resident of Batavia, she had also lived in Winnetka, Wilmette and Evanston. She is survived by three sons, Frank of Geneva, Thomas of Downers Grove and Richard of Glenview; and 5 grandsons.
