- Former Wilmette resident, Helen Sidler Wendt, died January 23 at Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida. Mrs. Wendt, 70, was the wife of Lloyd Wendt. She was born in South Dakota. The Wendts lived in Florida since his retirement in 1977. She is also survived by a daughter, Betty Jore; a brother, Marshall Sidler; and three grandchildren.
