Notes: Former Wilmette resident Dr. Ruth Blount Bennett died May 31 in Glacier Hills, Mich. She was 86. Dr. Bennett, a pediatrician, was born in Oak Park. Her husband, James Hallam Bennett, was an anesthesiologist. Her husband and two sons, Ralph and John, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son James of Ann Arbor; daughter Ann of Seattle; daughters-in-law Donna of Auburn, Ala. and Sandy; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
