- Stewart Boal, 92, died in a car crash January 3, 2001 in Charlevoix, Mich., on his way to work. Born in Winnetka on February 21, 1908. Survivors include his wife, Susan Ballard Boal; two sons, Stewart (Susan Hutchins) Boal Jr. and Ellis Ballard (Marilyn Morehead) Boal; a daughter, Nina Duryee Boal; and two grandchildren, Christopher Randall Boal and Stewart (Scot) McKendree Boal.
