- Lifetime Wilmette resident Gertrude M. Braun died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1982, in Evanston Hospital. She was 74, and was born in Gross Point, Ill. She is survived by a sister, Catherine Whelan; two nieces and three nephews. Funeral mass was held Aug. 25 at St. Joseph Church before burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Techny.
