- Violet (née Myers) Hinkle of Evanston, formerly of Wilmette, died September 11, 1999 in Evanston at the age of 92. Born September 30, 1906 in Williamsport, Pa. Preceded in death by her husband, Barney. Survivors include daughters Mary (Bill Murphy) Leibman of Ojai, California and Sue (Chris) Gale of Chatham, N.J.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
