- Eleanor E. Schaefer, 85, died June 8 at Evanston Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Schaefer, who died in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Roberta (George) Geissel of Kalamazoo, Mich.; a son, Bill Jr. (Nancy) Schaefer of Kingston, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were June 12 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Interment was at St. Peter's Cemetery in Northbrook.
