Philip James Hoza, Jr., 87 a lifelong resident of Winnetka and Wilmette died Jan. 7. Mr. Hoza, affectionately known to his family as "Papa," was born in 1916 in Winnetka to Philip and Emilie Hoza (who came to Winnetka in 1915), and was older brother to Robert. He married Norma Bratschi in August of 1940.

Survivors include wife, Norma, nee Bratschi; his sons, Philip J. (Lucy) Hoza, III, Jeff (Henia) Hoza, Alan Hoza; Harvey (Kathy) Youngberg, Martin (Janet) Youngberg, and Victor Youngberg; his grandchildren, Betsy (Todd), Carrie, Sydina (Rob), Alison (Pete), Kylie, Bill, Ann, Patti, Lisa and Martin; and daughters-in-law, Martha, Helen and Polly.

Visitation was held Friday Jan. 9, at Wm. Scott Funeral Home in Wilmette. Mass was celebrated January 10 at St Joseph Church in Wilmette with the Rev. Robert Schultz officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
