Notes: Wilmette firefighter Mike McGreal lost consciousness and stopped breathing while under the ice of Belleau Lake in Park Ridge during a practice dive. His fellow divers pulled him to safety using the rope he was tethered to. McGreal is a 16-year-veteran of the Wilmette department, and lives in Northbrook with his wife, Janeen, daughter, Mollie, 11, and sons Mike, 7, and Jack, 5.
