H. E. Chandler, former alderman of Evanston, wealthy book and stationery dealer, and one time president of the Evanston chamber of commerce, died early this week at the home of his brother, Charles H. Chandler, 1733 Asbury street.
Mr. Chandler was 64 years old and had lived in Evanston for thirty-one years. For twenty years he was the principal newspaper distributor in Evanston. While he was a member of the council he devoted himself to furnishing recreation facilities children. He was never married and is survived by one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Mark’s church in Evanston. Burial was private.- Featured Link
