William F. Dahncke, a resident of Wilmette for 41 years, died at his home at 736 Twelfth street Saturday, August 28, at the age of 77 years. Mr. Dahncke was born in Mecklenberg, Germany, and came to Chicago in 1878. He was stricken with a heart attack and died after two hours illness.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, September 2, at 2 o'clock in St. John's Lutheran church, and burial was at Memorial park cemetery.
Mr. Dahncke is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna Rech Dahncke, one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Van Deursen, and four sons, William M. of Benicia, Calif., Herbert, Charles, and Raymond, of Wilmette.- Featured Link
