Mrs. Catherine M. Nelson, 58 years of age, residing at 516 Orchard Lane, Winnetka, was found dead on the beach near the foot of Elder Lane, Winnetka, at about 11 o'clock last Friday morning. A verdict of "suffocation by drowning" was returned by a coroner's jury at an inquest held in the Lewis Undertaking parlors, 1120 Central avenue, Wilmette, Friday afternoon.

Mrs. Nelson, who was the wife of nels [sic] Nelson, a clerk in the employ of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy railroad, had been ill for more than a year and had been constantly under the care of a nurse. Friday morning she slipped away from her attendant and wandered over to the shore of the lake, where she was found sometime later by the nurse who had gone in search of her.

Services were held Tuesday morning, immediately following a brief serv- [sic] at the Lewis chapel, from the Sacred Heart church, in kenilworth [sic]. Burial was at Rosehill.
