Mrs. M. C. Hecht's mother passes away at Dubuque hospital [Mrs. George A. Schneider]

Mrs. George A. Schneider, mother of Mrs. M. C. Hecht, 1042 Greenwood avenue, Wilmette, died at the John Finley Hospital, Dubuque, Iowa, Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, following an operation. Mrs. Hecht was summoned Monday by the serious illness of her mother, and arrived before her death. The funeral will be Saturday, at the family home, and Galena.

Mrs. Schneider was 65 years of age. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Arthur, a highway engineer at Galena and George and Frank, of Lyons, Iowa, and three daughters, Mrs. Frank Dunnebeck, of Galena, Miss Anna Schneider, Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. M. C. Hecht, of Wilmette.

Mr. Schneider is one of the pioneer steam boat captains on the Mississippi river, and although now well advanced in years, is still at the helm of a sternwheeler, of the Lyons, Iowa, port, his boat being engaged in the sand and gravel trade in which business Mr. Schneider is associated with his sons, George and Frank.
