Chicago man found dead at near Elmwood-15th street [Frank Field]

The signboard located near the intersection of Fifteenth street and Elmwood avenue, which was the scene recently of the suicide of an unidentified man, again came into the gruesome limelight last Thursday night when the body of a stranger, believed to have been that of Frank Field of 502 South Clark street, Chicago, was discovered by Glen Haas of Thorsen's garage in Kenilworth, who happened to be passing in the vicinity.

Wilmette Police were notified and Lieut. Albert Borre proceeded to the scene. The remains were taken to the Scott funeral home on Central avenue, where a coroner's jury at an inquest held on the following day pronounced the death due to heart trouble. The stranger was approximately 70 years of age, was 5 feet 7 inches in height and weighted about 190 pounds.

A search of his clothing disclosed a letter addressed to Frank Field, 502 S. Clark street, Chicago. A call to the Chicago police and a subsequent investigation resulted in obtaining the information that a man of that name and answering that description had resided at that residence for approximately ten years.
