The body of Miss Thora Johnson, nurse, who, on the evening of May 4, disappeared from the home of Whipple Jacobs, 420 Elder lane, Winnetka, was removed from Lake Michigan last Saturday, at the foot of Barry avenue, Chicago, by the Lincoln Park police and removed to the Segerson undertaking parlors at 3154 North Clark street.
The finding of the coroner's jury Monday, was that the woman came to her death from accidental drowning. Relatives, testifying at the inquest, said she was accustomed to taking strolls along the lake. They also said she was subject to attacks of dizzy spells, and was having her eyes treated and fitted with glasses to overcome this trouble. It is presumed that on the evening of May 4, she went on one of her accustomed strolls along the lake and possibly fell off a pier.- Featured Link
