- The Wilmette Chamber of Commerce has announced the recipients of its "2004 Citizen, Business, and Educator of the Year" awards. Morning Glory Ltd. was named Business of the Year. Sarah Oliver was named Citizen of the Year, and Lauren Schulman was named Educator of the Year. Winners were chosen by a committee whose members included Nancy Canafax, David Youngerman, Josef Puehringer, Mark Kotz, Jim Leisse, and Randi Schwartz. Other nominations for the awards were Al Bar-Wilmette Platers and The R. C. Dannon Gallery for Business of the Year. Citizen of the Year nominees included Rachael Gubman, Susan Gaines-Gatto and Dominick Gatto, Glen Paustian, Walter Reed, Gail Schecter and Alan Swanson. Additional information about the winners.
