Edward F. Blum, a resident of Wilmette for the past thirty-two years, died at his home on Glenview road last Saturday afternoon after an illness of two months. Mr. Blum, who was 68 years old, was formerly associated with the mechanical department of Lloyd Hollister Inc. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Hattie Blum; three daughters, Mrs. Glen Ianson, Mrs. Peter Carlson, and Mrs. A. W. McDermott, all of Wilmette; two sons, Albert D. Blum and Elmer G. Blum, both of Wilmette; one brother, John Blum of Rives Junction, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Rink of Chicago, and six grandchildren. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, with the Rev. Herman W. Meyer, of St. John's Lutheran church, Wilmette, officiating. Burial was at Memorial Park cemetery.
