Bernard Abbink, pioneer resident, taken by death

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's church, Ridge road and Lake avenue, last Friday morning for Bernard Abbink, who died Tuesday, November 12, at the age of 75 years. Mr. Abbink had spent his entire lifetime in Wilmette. He had been failing in health for the past six months.

Mr. Abbink is survived by three sons and three daughters. Two sons, Frank and John, live at home, while the other son, Matthew, lives in Evanston. The daughters are Mrs. Frank Meyer and Mrs. P. J. Borre, of Wilmette, and Mrs. Minnie Luchs of Evanston.

The pallbearers were Albert, Frank, and Raymond Meyer, three of Mr. Abbink's grandchildren, Lawrence Dahm, a nephew, Joe Schmitt, son-in-law of Mrs. Luchs, and Joe Rossberger, son-in-law of Mr. Mayer.
