On the evening of Saturday, April 20, several hundred friends of Village President Earl E. Orner and Mrs. Orner assembled in the Masonic temple auditorium and lounge for a surprise party in their honor. The affair commemorated their silver wedding and the twenty-fifty anniversary of President Orner's service to the community as a municipal official.
