- Ralph P. Bassett, Sr., 92, a resident of Wilmette, formerly of Winnetka, died May 7 in Evanston.
Mr. Bassett was born July 3, 1911 in Chicago.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie "Tina" (the late George) Stevens of Wilmette and Ruth (Travis) Haskins of Germantown, Tenn.; one son, Ralph P. (Pegeen) Bassett, Jr. of Wilmette; three grandchildren, Priscilla Haskins of Germantown, Tenn., Trapper Haskins of Rockland, Maine, and Jeremy Bassett of Wilmette; one nephew, Fred (Ellen) Bassett of Glen Ellyn; and two nieces, Denise Graham of Indianapolis, Ind. and Yvonne (Rich) Green of Oceanside, Calif.
He is predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (nee von Colditz) Bassett.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 22 at the Winnetka Congregational Church, 725 Pine St., Winnetka.
