Henry Marcus succumbs to stroke on Saturday

Henry Marcus, 527 Maple avenue, Wilmette, died Saturday afternoon, December 7, at the Evanston hospital from the effects of a stroke. Mr. Marcus, who was a native of Kreutznach, Germany, had been ill for the past two years, with heart trouble. He moved to Wilmette from Chicago four and a half years ago. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Marcus; two sons, Carl L., of Wilmette, and Robert H., who is attending school at Washington, D. C.; one daughter, Mrs. Irving B. Hallenstein of Joliet; a brother, Ludwig of Kreutznach, Germany, and two sisters, Emma of Dusseldorf, Germany and Mrs. L. H. Weiller of Wilmette. The funeral services were held Monday morning at the funeral chapel at 4911 Broadway, Chicago. Burial was at Rosehill cemetery.
