Mrs. Mary Elizabeth French Hullinger, wife of John Hullinger of Seattle, Washington, formerly of 900 Chestnut Ave., Wilmette, passed away suddenly in Seattle on May 28. Burial was on Thursday, May 31, in Acacia Cemetery. Mrs. Hullinger was a daughter-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Gale M. Brooks, 335 Fifteenth Street, Wilmette. She was the former Mary Elizabeth "Bobby" French. She was married to Stephen Brooks who lost his life in an army plane crash during World War II. They were the parents of James Stephen, now 10 1/2 years old. Following Mr. Brooks' death she later married John Hullinger. Mrs. Hullinger celebrated her 36th birthday on April 30. Surviving in the immediate family besides her husband and son, are her mother, Mrs. J.B. French of Seattle, formerly of Wilmette; her sister, Mrs. Charlton Whitmore of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, J.B. French III, of Northbrook, and an aunt, Miss Henrietta French, of Chicago.
