Notes: Mary J. (nee Garvey) Gruenewald, of Glenview and formerly of Elgin, died Aug. 10 in Glenview. She was 79.

Mrs. Gruenewald was born Aug. 3, 1925 in Springfield.
Survivors include her husband, Philip; a daughter, Holly (John) Welch of Golf; and a grandchild, Graham Welch.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Interment was in Town of Maine Cemetery in Park Ridge.
