- Phil Hoza, a Winnetka plumbing contractor and member of New Trier VFW Post #4831, hosted a party on September 10th to raise contributions for small gifts for our troops in Iraq. Hoza was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam and his late father took part in the Normandy invasion. His daughter Lieutenant Carrie Hoza commands a platoon in Iraq. Hoza recommends a Veterans of Foreign Wars program called Operation Uplink to distribute phone cards to our soldiers on active duty.
