- Mrs. Gertrude Hoffman, 76, pioner resident of New Trier township, was found dead, Tuesday of last week, in her home in Chicago. She was born in the Peter Schaffer homestead, site of the present Indian Hill golf club. Surviving Mrs. Hoffman are her daughter, Beatrice, and son, Charles J. Hoffman, Chicago, and a granddaughter, Charlotte.
