- Wilmette Village Attorney, Tim Frenzer, said the village is working to determine what bearing the new law [Senate Bill 2165, aka DeMar bill] might have on Hale Demar's case, which is set to return to court Dec. 22. The long-term concern is how it might affect the village's ability to enforce the handgun ban in more routine circumstances.
