Fred E. Witt, 79, died April 7 [1977] at Three Oaks Nursing Home in Evanston. Mr. Witt was the son of the owners of the former Fred H. Witt Dairy. He is survived by his wife, Adele B.; two daughters, Dorothy Smith and Louisie Korner, both of Wilmette; two sons, Frederick E. of Rolling Meadows and Robert J. of Wilmette; three brothers, Phillip and Richard, both of Wilmette, and Harry of LaMesa, Cal.; and two sisters, Della Suhr and Anna K. Witt, both of Wilmette. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The Witt Dairy was located on the Peter M. Hoffman farm on West Lake Ave., an area that is now part of the Wilmette Golf Course. In 1902 it moved to 718 12th St. and in 1907 was sold to the Bowman Dairy Co.
