She was born Jan. 17, 1912, in Mason County, Mich.

Mrs. Bowen was a member of Kenilworth Union Church, where her son is the senior minister.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce O.

Survivors include her son, the Rev. Gilbert (Marlene) of Evanston; her daughter, Marilyn (Donald) Borgeson of Hudsonville, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
