- Gilberto Archer, 20, of 125 Dupee, Wilmette, is charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon for the Tuesday morning attack on an 18-year old New Trier student. Archer allegedly struck the girl with his car outside her home in the 2200 block of Beechwood Avenue in Wilmette, and then severely beat her before being apprehended by witnesses and the police.
