Notes: Mary Louise (née Alger) Wells, 87, of Winnetka, formerly of Wilmette, died Sept. 14 in Evanston Hospital.

Mrs. Wells was born July 23, 1918, in Wilmette.
Survivors include her husband, Donald J. Wells; one son, John Wesley (Karen) Blackwell of Marco Island, Fla.; four daughters, Judith (Lloyd) Urban of Wilmette, Mary Diane (Steve) Gaumer of Glenview, Susan Elizabeth (Guy) Solazzo of Glenview, and Nancy Louise Blackwell of Wilmette; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William J. Blackwell; one son, William Bruce Blackwell; and one sister, Elizabeth Alger Johnston.
