- Robert McClory, the former congressman from Lake and McHenry counties who attained national prominence during the Watergate crisis, age 80, passed away Sunday after suffering a cardiac arrest. McClory was born in Riverside, Ill. on Jan. 31, 1908. He is survived by his wife, Doris, whom he married in 1967; a daughter, Beatrice Ebenne [sic]; and two sons, Michael and Oliver.
