Notice is hereby given that on Monday, November 7, 2005 at 7:30 p.m., the Appearance Review Commission of the Village of Wilmette will conduct a public hearing in the 2nd Floor Training Room, Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Ave., Wilmette, Illinois when matters listed below will be considered:
05-AR-38, Chase, 1200 Central Avenue
The petitioner is requesting several sign variations to replace signage due to the bank's new name. A variation is needed to allow a ground sign and a wall sign to be placed along the same frontage. Two 7.15 square foot surface area variations are needed for two ground signs. A variation is also needed for six pedestrian wall signs to be placed on the building. The property is legally described as:
Parcel 1: Lots 19 to 26 in Westerfields Resubdivision of block 27 in Wilmette Village in Township 42 North, Range 13, together with that part of said block 27 in Westerfields Subdivision aforesaid lying southerly of the south line of Pine Street and lying northerly of the north line of Central Avenue and lying northeasterly of and adjoining the northeasterly line of a strip of land 100.00 feet wide conveyed to Chicago and Milwaukee Railroad Company by deed dated November 1, 1870 and recorded January 31, 1871 as document 81835 and lying west and southwesterly of and adjoining said lots.
Parcel 2: Beginning at a point eighteen (18) feet, six (6) inches west of the northeast corner of lot 19 of Westerfields Resubdivision of part of block 27 of Village of Wilmette, recorded May 17, 1878 (document no. 180959) in the northwest one quarter (1/4) of section 34, Township 42 North, Range 13, east of the third principal meridian, in Cook County, Illinois; thence one hundred and twenty (120) feet westward along the north boundary of lots 19, 20, and 21 of said Westerfields Resubdivision; thence north sixteen (16) feet; thence eastward one hundred and twenty (120) feet along a line parallel to and sixteen (16) feet north of the north boundary of said lots 19, 20, and 21; thence south sixteen (16) feet to the point of beginning; the entire described parcel lying in the southerly portion of the dedicated right-of-way of Washington Avenue, immediately west of 12th Street all within the limits of the Village of Wilmette, Illinois, and comprising approximately one thousand nine hundred and twenty (1920) square feet, more or less.- Media Type
