Gamma Phi Beta will honor the new International President, Mrs. James J. Marek of Clifton, Ill., at a tea at Northwestern University on Sunday. Other guests will include Miss Eleanor J. Sieg of Evanston and Mrs Frank Hiscock of Seattle. In the receiving line will be Mrs. Albert Ziegler of Wilmette and Mrs. Joseph J. Stefan of Winnetka. At the tea table will be Mrs. Carl Clader and Mrs. Sydney Craig of Winnetka, and Mrs. Richard Wells of Milwaukee.

Alphi Phi sorority will hold a cocktail buffet following the Northwestern-Minnesota football game Nov. 5 to benefit the new philanthropy of the alumnae group. The party will be in the home of Mrs. Samuel White, 644 Walden Rd., Winnetka. Co-chairmen of the event are Mrs. John Volkert of Northfield and Mrs. Hugh Marsland of Glenview. Other committee chairmen include Mrs. Robert Bentley, Winnetka; Mrs. John Griffith, Kenilworth; and Mrs. R. Theodore Clark, Wilmette.

Pi Beta Phi sorority will have five morning correes to display and sell wares from the Settlement School in Gatlinburg, Tenn., instead of the annual Settlement tea. Mrs. Everett Wilson of Deerfield and Mrs. Lloyd W. Scott of Winnetka are chairmen. Mrs. James D. Peterson of Wilmette was hostess for the first coffee Oct. 7. Other hostesses will be Mrs. Frank Hanscom JR., 1400 Shawnee Trail, Deerfield; Mrs. John W. Davis, 200 Linneman St., Glenview; Mrs. R.C. Leetz, 2603 Colfax Ave., Evanston; Mrs. Floyd Thorman, 1212 Elm St. Winnetka; Board members will meet for lunch Oct. 28 in the home of Mrs. Dennis O'Shea, 1012 Ashland Ave., Wilmette. Co-hostesses will be Mrs. Willard Medway, Highland Park; Mrs. George E. Cogwell, Wilmette; and Mrs. Roger W. Ernst, Glencoe.

Delta Delta Delta sorority will entertain new pledges at a tea Sunday. Mrs. Owen Lynch of Glenview is assisting with arrangements. Pledges from the Glenbrook high schools being honored include Miss Kathy Bauch, Miss Janet Jacobson, Miss Laurene Kreer, and Miss Mary Beth Raddy of Glenview, and Miss Laura Oswald of Northbrook.

Gamma Phi Beta Jrs. will hold bridge party on Tuesday. Mrs. Thomas Little, 550 Hawthorne Ln., Winnetka, will be the hostess.

Sigma Kappa alumnae will present the program for the 92nd anniversary noon luncheon in the Spinning Wheel, Hinsdale. Mrs. Lindel Jarvis of Northfield, a soprano, will sing, and Mrs. Everett Groves of Wilmette will read from her recently published book of poetry "Harp on the Willow" Mrs. J. Stannard Baker of Glencoe will be toastmistress.

Mrs. Vernon Funk, Winnetka, will participate in the "Spooky Spree" Chi Omega sorority dance on Saturday. photographs
