- Mrs. Stella Merriman Hess, widow of George W. Hess, was laid to rest at Rosehill cemetery Friday following funeral services in Evanston. Mrs. Hess died Wednesday of last week [5 Feb 1941] at the home of a daughter, Mrs. John M. White, Park Ridge. Mrs. Hess was 76 years old. Other survivors include a son, Merriman Hess of Boston, and a daughter, Mrs. M.C. Larson of Evanston.
