- Mary "Liz" McGuire Henebry, 86, of Wilmette, died Nov. 5 in her home after a battle with cancer.
Mrs. Henebry was born Sept. 22, 1919, to Frances Elizabeth McCormick and Walter George McGuire.
During World War II, in 1944, she married John Philip "Jock" Henebry of Plainfield, Ill.
Survivors include her husband, John P.; three daughters, Patricia (Patrick) Callahan of Winnetka, Mary of Chicago and Jeannine (Craig) Rublee of Aptos, Calif.; two sons, John (Linda) Jr. of Rancho Mirage, Calif., and Walter of Evanston; five grandchildren, Mary Callahan (Philip) Erdoes of New York City, Patrick (Jennise) Callahan III of Chicago, Michael (Brittan) Callahan of New York City, Christopher Callahan of New York City and Liam Henebry of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Mia and Morgan Erdoes of New York City; three sisters, Frances (George) Rassas of Winnetka, Josephine "Dodie" (the late John) Dwyer of Winnetka and Julia (the late John) Dowdle of Wilmette; two brothers, John (Paulette) McGuire of Fort Myers, Fla., and Walter (Selina) McGuire Jr. of Winnetka; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 10 at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd. in Skokie.
