Notes: James W. Ford Sr., M.D., 84, of Wilmette, died Jan. 5 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.

Dr. Ford was born in Chicago in 1921.

Survivors include one daughter, Lorey H. (Frank Kobes) Ford of Western Springs, Ill.; three sons, James W. (Pattie) Jr. of Evanston, Mark J. (Betsy) of Orlando, Fla., and Christopher J. (Kay) of Naperville; 10 grandchildren, Owen, Meghan, Danny, Grace, Emily, Melissa, Jim, Caitlin, Quinn and Kevin; one brother, William F. (Mary Ann) of Winnetka; and one sister, Anne (the late Morgan) McDonnell of Wayne, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Russell Ford.

Services were held Jan. 9 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Wilmette.

Interment was in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plains.
