- Loretta G. Knobel, 77, of Wilmette, died Jan. 22 in Evanston Hospital. Mrs. Knobel was born Oct. 21, 1928, in Chicago. Her husband was K. Peter Knobel. The two were married in 1960 and resided in Wilmette. Survivors include her husband, K. Peter; one son, Mark (Rebecca) of Wilmette; one daughter, Juliane Whitehead of Highland Park; five grandchildren, Samantha, Nicole, Brandon, Emily and Peter; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Hertha Glitzenstein; and a brother, Walter Glitzenstein.
