- More than 400 persons attended a Community Conversation Jan. 12 at the Harold Washington Library in Chicago. Afterward a reception was held for donors at the Standard Club. Presenter was South African Constitutional Court Justice Albie Sachs and South African urban architect Vanessa September. Facing History is an international educational and professional development organization whose mission is to engage students of diverse backgrounds in an examination of racism, prejudice and anti-Semitism in order to promote the development of a more humane and informed citizenry.
