- Robert Dillingham Mitchell of Evanston, a former longtime resident of Winnetka, died Feb. 13 at the Presbyterian Homes in Evanston. He was 87.
Born May 26, 1918, in Ann Arbor, Mich. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Margaret (née May); sons David C. (Anita) Mitchell of Ashland, Wis., and Thomas R. (Margaret) Mitchell of Batavia, Ill.; daughter Jane E. Mitchell of Bloomington, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Feb. 18 at the Winnetka Congregational Church.
