- Henry E. Cutler, president of board of education of school district 39, and Mrs. Helen Simonds, board member, have been nominated for reelection by a citizens' committee. Lincoln C. Torrey declines to run for reelection when his term expires this month. F.A. Cushing Smith was nominated to fill that vacancy. Mrs. Elizabeth Freeman, George H. Redding, Frederick A. Lind and Ralph H. Durham are board members whose terms expire next year and the year following.G. T. Hellmuth was chairman of the current year's citizen's nominating committee whose members are composed of representatives from the Wilmette parent-teacher associations and the Wilmette Woman's Club.
