- Marc and Kathie Johnson's Wilmette home on 15th street has been sold to a developer who wants to tear it down to build two houses on the lot. During the subdivision process, the Wilmette Preservation Comission and the Historical Society begged trustees not to let the property divide until the developer George Hausen gave them a year to investigate so they can preserve what might be hidden. It is believed the home may contain the remnants of a 19th century log cabin.
