Santa Pays Visit to Child Patients in Evanston Hospital

- Children who remianed at Evanston Hospital over Christmas were visited by Santa Claus on Christmas Even afternoon. Children mentioned include Rickey Comporeale, age 6, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Camporeale of Highwood, a post-polio patient. Katherine Park, age 4, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Park, 907 Linden ave. Katherine was brought to the hospital November 6 suffered first, second and third degree burns over about 30 percent of her body. A third child, George Russell Underwood, age 12, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Underwood of Evanston, was brought to the hospital on Nov. 4 with pneumonia and nausea. An x-ray showed a screw-shaped object in the tracheal tube, surrounded by tissue growth. He had swallowed this in July, but had never spoken of it. Extensive surgery was required to remove the object.
