- Mrs. Katherine Schaefer Peters, 84, lifetime resident of Wilmette, of 1519 Washington Avenue, died Tuesday morning at her home. Place of interment will be St. Mary's Cemetery in Techny. Mrs. Peters, was born February 24, 1872, in the section of the village then called Gross Point. Widow of the late Judge John J. Peters, who died in 1953, Mrs. Peters was the mother of Mrs. Mae Braun of 2500 Greenwood Avenue, Mrs. Martha Moore of 1519 Washington Avenue, Harry M. of 606 Fifteenth Street, Anthony N. of 1501 Washington Avenue, all of Wilmette, Mrs. Catherine Wilten of Highland Park, Arthur M. of Long Island, N.Y., and the late John J. Huerter. Also surviving are two sisters, Miss Helen Schaefer and Mrs. Margaret Miller, both of 1921 Birchwood Avenue, Wilmette, two brothers, Peter Schaefer of Evanston and George Schaefer of Skokie, 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
