Notes: Wilmette Baseball Association will honor Pete Endre, a lifelong resident of Wilmette and key figure in the history of youth baseball and softball in the community, by dedicating the baseball diamond at West Park in his name.

Endre married Marge Kneip in 1946 and moved to Wilmette where they purchased a house next to the Village Green (Howard Park). The location right next to the baseball fields sparked Endre's interest. HE died at the age of 83 on Nov. 28 last year.
