Notes: George P. Schaefer Sr. of Wilmette, who was 56 years old, died April 7. Born November 12, 1897 in Gross Point, Mr. Schaefer was the son of Peter and Anna Schaefer, early settlers in the area. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Muller of Evanston and Mrs. Virginia Ortegel of Wilmette, by a son George P. Schaefer Jr. of Wilmette, member of the Wilmette Police Department, and by six grandchildren. There are three sisters, Mrs. Katharine Selzer of Wilmette, and Mrs. Dena Schwall and Mrs. Betty Ohlwein of Highland Park, and two brothers, Peter, of Wilmette, and John of Highland Park.
