- George Oberlander, who for the past two years had been making his home with Mr. and Mrs. Stopka, 1536 Lake avenue, died Saturday, June 10 at the age of 79 years. He lived with his sister, Mrs. Sarah Savage, at 684 Sheridan road until her death. Two years ago the house, a landmark in the village, was torn down, and Mr. Oberlander went to live with the Stopkas.
