Samuel Magad is retiring from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra after 48 years. He and his wife Miriam Magad moved from Glencoe to the city several years ago.
The Lyric Opera Center for American ARtists has been renamed the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center. The Ryans who live in Winnetka are long-time supporters of Lyric. - Date of Publication
