Stephen M. Jevelian, 70, of Wilmette, died Dec. 17 at Evanston Hospital. Mr. Jevelian was born Aug. 7, 1935, in Belfort, France. He came to the United States in 1954 and was founder and owner of S.J.C., a structural steel design detailing business. He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette and the Rotary Club of Wilmette-Harbor. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; three daughters, Stephanie (Ira) Levinsky of Arlington Heights, Suzanne Lane (Jamal) Belahmira of Arlington Heights and Allison Lane (Christopher) Ritter of New York City; three grandchildren; three brothers, John Demirjian and Louis and Andre Teknayan; and one sister, Rose Simone. A memorial visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., today at Wm. H. Scott Funeral Home, 1100 Greenleaf Ave. in Wilmette. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 23 at the First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette, Ninth Street and Greenleaf Avenue, Wilmette. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette, 600 Ninth St., Wilmette IL 60091.
